SunTrust Bank, Atlanta Chairman, President and CEO Jenner Wood (far left) joined Operation HOPE and SunTrust executives for a photo after addressing the final class of the inaugural Entrepreneurial Training Program about strategies for accessing capital. Twenty-nine aspiring small business owners learned from local business leaders and successful entrepreneurs throughout the twelve week course offered at SunTrust. The bank has committed $1 million to the flagship HOPE Financial Dignity Center, which will house the Entrepreneurial Training Program along with additional financial education offerings. The Center, which will serve as a force for economic empowerment for the city’s under-served, is scheduled to open this fall at the Martin Luther King, Sr. Community Resource Facility at historic Ebenezer Baptist Church.
